"Truth News"?

We have had a large response to this posting and have written some additions.

John 17:17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.

I had been convicted some time ago about listening to Alex Jones, Steve Quayle, and others like them as I discerned an unclean spirit. However, I still had another weak place in the radio program Coast to Coast at night but justified it by telling myself because I did not believe it I was "above' being defiled by the programming.

Recently I had mentioned to a friend about "fasting the news" and even many of the "forwards" we get from UTube, prophetic Word ministries, etc. I am not saying those clips and quotes are wrong or bad, but at times our "IN Box" sometimes suffers from "info-overload".

There are sooo many voices out there and many are good AND Godly, but in the info-age we live in, it is easy to have Christian-Info-Truth-News" overload including especially the news that stirs up worldly emotions.

The ear-gate to our fleshly mind in the guise of "knowledge' can take over our time, our thoughts, and stir up fleshly emotions of fear, paranoia, anger, patriotism, condemnation, unrighteous judgement, etc.

"Little foxes" you might say...

So one night last week I was driving home from our Bible fellowship and was listening to Coast to Coast radio to help keep me from getting sleepy at the wheel. They had a program featuring some nice sounding occult guy talking about his research and the paranormal. I had no interest in his talk, but left the radio on for the "noise" just to keep me company...

That night I had a dream in which I was in a bathroom and the sink started to back up. The clear water in the sink quickly became fouled with vile sewer material and it was revolting.

The Lord showed me the drain pipe openeing was the radio and it was spewing out spiritual filth. -the sink represented the mind...

Here is Brad's testimony and some others that the Lord has spoken to about the pursuit of "truth" news.

So what if we are "informed" up to our brain cells in unraveling the NWO, conspiracies, the truth-behind-the-news, and what may or may not be about to happen?
What are we profited?
Will it change anything knowing the Who's Who of the Illuminati etc?

God is the One that put those people in charge of government. (Dan. 4:17), so if we go to Info-War against them, we just might find ourselves at odds with the One who put them in charge!

Notice some reminders from scripture that we might consider in the Info War Age:

Phillipians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honorable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Romans 16:19 ...I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple unto that which is evil.

1st Timothy 5:22 Lay hands hastily on no man, neither be partaker of other men's sins: keep thyself pure.
"partaker": From G2844; to share with others (objectively or subjectively): - communicate, distribute, be partaker.

Titus 1:15 To the pure all things are pure: but to them that are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled

Lord forgive us for letting ourselves become distracted and lose sight of you and your Word and thank you for delivering us from the consuming desire to hear every "new thing"..

ADDED Thoughts:

This verse is very intriguing:
Romans 16:19 For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.

"simple" is this:
fr Strongs 185 Akeraios
unmixed, pure as in wines or metals
of the mind, without a mixture of evil, free from guile, innocent, simple

"evil" is this: (Strongs 2556, kakos )
of a bad nature
not such as it ought to be
of a mode of thinking, feeling, acting
base, wrong, wicked
troublesome, injurious, pernicious, destructive, baneful

I am personally fasting the news for a season after realizing there is/was and addictive aspect to hearing news. This means for me "laying down" my fleshly desire to "be informed" and in all honesty, I now already see where my family was troubled by the focus on what's happenning after stepping away from the "news".

Let each one prayerfully ask God regarding His Will on the "Info-Truth" what we hear and see. I do know that when I was writing "The Tithe That Binds" God told me "go find out about the 501c3 law and the church", which resulted in an important chapter in TTTB..

Our sons were infected with spirits of fear, paranoia, and negativity because they heard what I heard, and folks, I have studied the NWO and "the News Behind the News" for 35 years... (see Brads testimony on the UBM link at the top of this thread, and consider the UBM audio)

This unknowingly to me, caused my sons to think they have no future so why get a job, learn a trade, etc. They would make those kind of statements but I did not understand that I was the source of their fear, distrust, and negativity through the "Info-Truth" I was bringing into our home.

That is a hard pill to swallow

I do believe in "watching and praying", "knowing the times", but in my case, God gave me a short, quickly understandable dream, instructing me in this.

God bless you, as each of us sorts this one out for ourselves, I never before considered my news research in this light.

See Psalm 131:1-2: Jehovah, my heart is not haughty, nor mine eyes lofty; Neither do I exercise myself in great matters, Or in things too wonderful for me. 2 Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me. News, even when true, can be too big for me to fathom. So I must quiet my soul and rest in God.

Good word brother, I'm glad to see God speaking to others about these things as well. It shows me there are others listening to him as well.

good word Rory. I call it info-overload. I have been finding myself getting these strange headaches latley, I belive I now know the reason why. I am also guilty of putting fear in my children. I confess and repent of this evil, and come into agreement with your prayer, SO BE IT

As usual, you're right on. Been noticing this in my house too and my baby is 26. Loosing all hope of doing anything and she just got her teaching certificate. Everything takes on a negative view real easy. I found myself reading/listening when she's not around. Of course those you mentioned never did sit right with me and I only listened to precious few broadcasts. Could never quite figure out what it was that bugged me. I definitely can identify with you.

Also had this in the back of my mind for some time.We have to realize reading Rev. that it is written "and it was given""and it was given" NOTHING can happen until it is "GIVEN"! God is in complete control of it all! The enemy fear mongers us to get us to make mistakes...read the Exodus again!!!!! I am starting to enjoy renewed peace knowing there is nothing I can do to save one hair on my head etc. sooooo why worry? This precious energy could be used for better things! God can only start the time clock for Israels 70 th week when he is done with the "mystery of the Gentiles."We are not ordained to wrath so we need to watch as the early church did for Christs return. Keep our eyes on HIM! Pray for those caught up in this stuff!

I dont know if you have heard of Henry Gruver..He told me about 2 or 3 years ago that the Lord told him to stop watching T.V. mainly for the news...cause it was going to direct people to do things and go to wrong places that were dangerous (leading the sheep astray)

I too am now limiting my intake of such knowledge. The resulting anxiety/despair which can follow doesn't seem to serve any positive purpose. Every time we come across some new bit of information, whether encouraging or discouraging, it seems vital to me that meditation of God's sovereignty in our minds must be taking place at this time. Thanks for sharing! I find it comforting to know that I'm not the only one who has struggled with this.

HALLELUJAH! In MARK 9, Jesus commanded us to pluck out and cast away our eye if it offends us, for that is better than our entire being to be cast away into hell. He meant this literally, for which is easier? To pluck out the eye, or to remove what defiles the eye? Consider removing cable. Serve Christ with the extra money. He gives back what cable cannot. Almost all cable programs were created by people who openly oppose walking by faith instead of by sight, or turning the other cheek, or pursuing last place to obtain first, etc. Taking in antichrist's seed (whatever opposes even the least of Christ's teachings) recreates antichrist in your house. Taking in Christ's seed (God's word) recreates Christ in your house! Psalm 1 promises this.

Wow! The Lord has told me the very same thing -- get away from the news. But he has also told me to get away from anything on the TV that includes any kind of evil. It's become abhorrent to me. And you're right about God putting these people into power. Look at 1 Peter 3:21 and Rev 1:4. God is the rules of the kinds of the earth and all authorities and powers are in submission to him. I used to be a huge conspiracy researcher and I have no stomach for it anymore.
